As promised, here's a tutorial for one spread of a mini-journal project from the course!
If you're confused about what to make for the giveaway and need a little push, you can whip up these two pages in a matter of a couple of hours at best :)
Start with deciding on the fabrics. Since this journal is very small in size, I preferred to work it in hands, rather than using a hoop. That's why I cut the pieces of page size and edged them.
The motif on the first page is worked in back stitch. Use 1 strand of thread for the line to be finer.
When working a page like that, it is also convenient to hold it the following way: put the upper part of the page between the index and middle fingers, and hold the lower part with your ring and pinky fingers from behind, and with the thumb from the front.
Very soon your page will be ready!
Now it's time to work on the second one. Transfer the phrase to the fabric, and stitch it using the same back stitch.
Cut the piece with the phrase out and decide where you're going to place it. Normally, I would pin it so that it doesn't slide but due to the size, it's quite possible to just hold it in place with fingers.
Then I stitched it down to the second page using running stitch and 2 strands of thread because I wanted a chunkier look.
See how lovely and small this mini-journal is! You can compare it to the size of a thread skein!
All the templates can be found in the final project of the course. Now it's your turn to make a cutie like this one! :)
♥️ cute!
