"Euphoria": new design complete

Euphoria Stitch Floral

New design complete! It's a self-indulgence of sorts and a bit of an experiment, as usual :)

I usually skip giving names to my “practice” designs, but this one became an exception, as “Euphoria” literally rolled off my tongue when I looked at the pictures. I guess it's about the colors which give me this feeling of “high”.

The palette is not exactly natural and realistic, especially for the flower, where I attempted to blend together pale yellow, pale pink and coral in no linear pattern, but rather in “spots”. It was really fun to do and it was pretty close to my colored sketch, so it made me especially happy, haha. It is very rare when the embroidered result is exactly the same as the colored sketch, that's why I sometimes even skip the step of coloring of my sketches... As I don't want any, even small, feeling of disappointment or regret when I compare the two.

However, it wasn't the case with this one!

You might notice the common element with my previous complete work – the hanging pendants and jewelry. I just saw this stuff on Pinterest and I really liked how it looked in lineart, but I wondered how it would appear on fabric, in full color and dimension. I think I'm hooked!

Anyway, here is a silent gallery.

I won't list the stitches and techniques (you can ask in the comments or in private message if you are curious). I found myself concentrating more on the content of my embroidery art, rather than technique, to be honest... so... tell me what you feel when you look at this needlework?
