I figured it's been a while since I posted my complete works on the blog, so here's a little something I stitched for myself :)
It's not exactly a practice, but an attempt to find and feel the images that live in my mind and reflect it on fabric.
I've been fascinated for a while with the combination of geometric forms together with delicate floral motives. These themes do things to me and I really want to explore the way of expressing what I feel in embroidery.
It's not the final form yet, I'm actually already in the middle of a new work resembling this one in some ways (it's on my Insta). Still trying to figure out how to make it all work the best way... In the end, my goal is to make a set of new designs, united by the same mood, like the “Serenity” ones.
I wonder if I should mention the stitches used here? Actually, I'm sure you can guess! All of them have been covered on the blog before, but if you don't recognize any of them don't hesitate to ask :)
This post as a sort of impromptu, to be honest. I actually planned to post another stitch tutorial today but then thought that maybe it is better to have a day break from our marathon and have a little breather, haha.
Tomorrow, however, anticipate a big chunk of information because we're going to learn 3 new stitches! All at once!
