Stitch Floral journal complete

embroidery journal

Hey, guys!

While you're working on your new embroidery journals (I know some of you already started! Can't wait to see your spreads!), take a look at the one I've just finished :) Maybe you will get inspired and motivated!

With the news of my Etsy store closing, I suddenly decided to close this chapter by making a new journal out of all my designs! So I was working on it from late August till yesterday.

All in all, if we exclude all the breaks, this journal took me 7 days to complete, with about 3 hours each day. Even though all the works had already been stitched, I still needed to un-mount them (they all were mounted on acardboard canvas previously), iron the creases, cut the needed size, and then bind them together.

It brought a nice closure though. Feeling like the two eras of Stitch Floral meeting together :) The past of 2017-2020 and the future, whatever it holds (let's hope it holds many new projects and pretty journals Inshallah!)

So, let's call it “Stitch Floral Catalogue 2017-2020”. Haha! Or, well, just Stitch Floral journal will do, I guess :)

Dive into the gallery for the details!

If you're interested in making journals, count the number of pages. It's quite thick, right? I suppose it's not really the limit, though, there's still space for a couple more spreads.

So, now that this one is complete, I can get back to the Blue Journal (finally! I missed it!) and also I will join you in making a mini-journal from the course's final project templates.

See you later!

  2. Your beautiful work has inspired me. We have long winters and this would be a good project for that season. I have quite a stash of fabric. One I have been off line for a while, and I missed your offer, but I question, did you use batting in between your pages?

    1. Hi! Thank you, hope you enjoy making embroidery journals the same way I did! I didn't use batting but I backed some of the pages with interfacing
